Follow these simple steps to make the most out of your webinars

If you are starting your own webinars’ strategy, here you have a marketing machine that will make it work for you.

Are you planning to work on webinars to develop your growth strategy? Smart and let me tell you, it can be super easy. No matter if you are a solo growth marketer or if you are a growth team, or a lovely entrepreneur, follow these simple steps before, during and after the webinar and you’ll reach your targets.

The nice thing about this recipe is that once you set it up, it’s 90% done for the upcoming ones.

#1: Make sure you are collecting leads

Whether you own a CRM or not, the first thing you’ll need to make sure is that you are collecting those leads and that this data is available for your next actions. Once you have this clear, it’s a matter of choosing the right platforms and getting your hands dirty.

Here I’m recommending you Eventbrite. It is cheap, it sends automated emails and reminders, it can be connected to the CRM and the most important thing is that you can edit what info you are getting from your leads.

LinkedIn offers a great exposure on sending push-up notifications and other alerts when doing a live on the platform, but at least until now, it doesn’t collect those leads and therefore, extra actions should be taken in consideration in order to achieve the purpose.

#2 Timing is key

Timing is key, you should start promoting it around 2 weeks before the webinar and if you have some budget to invest on a bunch of ads, it would be great, as the CPL goes x3 lower than a regular lead generation ad campaign.

#3 Engage with your audience

During the webinar, try to engage with the audience. Some Q&A, polls, comments on the chat.. will help you build a relationship with them. If you don’t have a tool to host webinars, you could start by doing them on Zoom or Crowdcast as they are quite cheap. If not, use LinkedIn but remember to throw a typeform, google docs or something to collect those leads.

Take advantage of this moment and post on SM as well, you know they are online and focusing on you, nice bullet to get more reach.

#4 Follow up with them to boost conversion

And the most important thing: follow-up. After the webinar send an email with the replay, more content and a CTA as you want them to convert somehow.
